Biography

Dr. Teo Yi Sze is an orthopedic surgeon with more than 10 years of experience. Provides specialist care in reconstructive and trauma surgery. Prior to private practice, he was a Consultant in the Department of Orthopedics, at Changi General Hospital (CGH), and was instrumental in the establishment and expansion of the Adult Reconstructive Department.

Dr. Teo graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 1999. He later underwent basic training and completed his postgraduate training in Orthopedics, becoming a member and ordained as a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002 and 2007 respectively. In 2003, Dr. Lim obtained his MD (Orthopedics) from the National University of Singapore. After receiving the Health Workforce Development Program (HMDP) fellowship award, Dr. Lim received training in Adult Reconstructive and Traumatic Surgery at the world-renowned Rorabeak Borne Joint Replacement Clinic at the University of Western Ontario in Canada in 2008. There, he was mentored there by a senior Orthopedic surgeon, Professor C. Aside from clinical work, research is also of great interest to Dr. Teo. He has received numerous research grants and authored numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Arthroplasty and the American Journal of Sports Medicine. In addition, he has also participated in several multicenter trials as a principal and research associate, particularly in the field of adult reconstructive surgery. In addition to research, Dr. Teo strongly believes in the education and training of future generations of doctors and orthopedic surgeons. He has been a Clinical Instructor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore since 2003, devoting his time to the care of medical students and postgraduate trainees. Since 2010, Dr. Teo has been an Assistant Professor at Changi General Hospital, where he has been responsible for teaching medical students.

Dr. Teo’s interests lie in reconstructive and trauma surgery.
