Biodata
- Dr Anthony Foo Tun Lin earned a bachelor’s Qualification in 2005 from University College London and completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery in 2013. He was granted a Gold Medal by the Academy of Medicine for his performance on the exit examination and was inducted as a Fellow.
- Prior to joining Raffles Hospital, he worked at National University Hospital as a consultant in Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery and as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the National University of Singapore. His clinical practice was honed through regular travel fellowships to institutions such as the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, the Schulthess Klinik in Zurich, the Ospedale Borgo Roma in Verona, the Lerdsin Hospital in Bangkok, and the Ningxia People’s Hospital in Ningxia (Yinchuan).
- Dr Anthony Foo Tun Lin is the author of several peer-reviewed studies on novel surgical procedures, anatomy, and biomechanics. In undergraduate Qualification, he has received numerous accolades for teaching and role modeling from the NUS Medical Society and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Dr Foo is a member of the Residency Advisory Council’s examination and assessment committee at the postgraduate level.
- Dr Foo has been on the Singapore Society for Hand Surgery’s council since 2009 and chaired various scientific events including international partners from North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific nations. He taught fracture, bone fixation, and microsurgical reconstruction at many regional IBRA (International Bone Research Association) and Depuy AO courses.
- Dr Foo’s clinical interests span the spectrum of hand and reconstructive surgery, including congenital hand disorders, trauma, flap repair, minor joint arthroscopy and arthroplasty, and functional Raffles Shield Panel rebuilding for nerve loss. Additionally, he is interested in wound care and diabetic foot repair.
