Biodata
Assoc Prof Audrey Chia, an Associate Professor, earned her Qualification from the University of Sydney and completed her ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital. Returning to Singapore in 2000, she served as an Ophthalmology Registrar at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) before undertaking a Paediatric Ophthalmology fellowship at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. Currently, she holds the positions of Head of the Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Department, Co-Clinical Director of the Myopia Centre at SNEC, and Senior Consultant at the Eye Centre, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Assoc Prof Audrey Chia is actively involved in research, focusing on strabismus, amblyopia, retinopathy of prematurity, and the medical and non-medical control of myopia. Assoc Prof Audrey Chia serves as a Senior Clinical Investigator and co-leads the Myopia research unit at the Singapore Eye Research Hospital (SERI).
Additionally, Assoc Prof Audrey Chia contributes to the SNEC-SERI Visual ElectroDiagnostic Laboratory and is a member of the International Society of Electrophysiology Vision (ISCEV). Her research interests in this domain encompass functional changes in myopia and amblyopia, retinal dystrophy, and drug-related toxicities.
