Qualification
- Dr V P Antia (M.D.) holds a Clinical Haematology Diploma (London). He has 25 EXPERIENCE YEARS YEARS in the field of hematology. At the Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr.V.P. Antia had his primary training in haematology. He then completed his Haematology training at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at the University of London. He received his training at the Hammersmith Hospital in London. He then completed a Clinical Fellowship at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Haematological Medicine and worked at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. He also completed a clinical fellowship in bone marrow transplantation in hematological malignancies at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
- Dr V P Antia is the current Head of the Department of Haematological Medicine at the BCH Trust, where he works full-time. He has a distinguished appointment as an Honorary Clinical Haematologist at the Tata Memorial Hospital, which is internationally famous. He is also a consultant at Mumbai’s Jaslok Hospital’s Haematology and Haemato-Oncology Department.
- In Vienna in 2012, he was a member of the International Recommendation Panel for the Management of Fungal Infections in Haematological Malignancies. The guidelines were then published in the highly regarded Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy. In the National Geographic series “The Girl Who Bleeds Tears,” he was the local Indian expert.
