Biography

Dr. Toh Chee Keong is a medical oncologist who subspecializes in thoracic oncology (lung cancer, thymus cancer), and genitourinary oncology (prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancer), as well as head and neck cancer. He worked at the Singapore National Cancer Center for most of his career, with an interspersed 3-year stint at Raffles Cancer Center where he was director of clinical research before joining Curie Oncology. He was the project leader of the Lung Cancer Consortium at the National Cancer Centre, and coordinated lung cancer research in Singapore, paving the way for many publications and discoveries. He was also part of the team that won the Grand Collaborative Grant for their research on “Next Generation Clinical Trials and Integrative Research to Fight Lung Cancer” from the National Medical Research Council. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with the Gibbs Gold Medal in 1995, followed by MRCP (UK) in 2000 and specialist accreditation in Medical Oncology in 2004. Under the Health Workforce Development Programme, he was in the United States at the Burnham Institute. at the Jolla and Moores Cancer Center in San Diego. Over the years, Dr. Toh has been involved in clinical work, clinical trials, and teaching. He has directed and was a co-investigator on many clinical trials. He was also a member of the Singapore Cancer Network (SCAN) guidelines working group for lung cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer. In the area of ​​teaching, he was an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School. Dr. Toh hopes to bring his extensive clinical experience to Curie Oncology to provide a good care experience for patients, encourage them and let them know that spring will come one day.
