- Dr Tan Siew Kiang graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and then relocated to Singapore to pursue a medical career. After completing her basic specialized study in internal medicine and earning membership in the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and the Singapore Master of Medicine, she pursued further specialist training in dermatology at the National Skin Centre and Changi General Hospital. Dr Tan has expertise managing both general and aesthetic dermatology and has a particular focus in treating female-specific dermatologic disorders such as acne, hair loss, scarring, pigmentation, and vaginal or vulvar rashes. Dr Tan is a firm believer in the value of effective communication and multilingualism. She is proficient in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Melayu, as well as the Teochew, Hokkien, and Cantonese dialects, and she is able to personalize her treatment to each individual she treats.
- Dr Tan Siew Kiang worked as a dermatologist at Changi General Hospital and as a clinical tutor at the National University of Singapore prior to joining Raffles Hospital. She received the Eastern Health Alliance Caring Award in 2011/2012 in appreciation of her patient care. Apart from clinical practice, Dr Tan is an active researcher in dermatology, having published multiple articles in peer-reviewed international medical journals. Additionally, her work has been presented at numerous regional and international conferences. In appreciation of these accomplishments, she received the Singhealth Medical Research Publication Award in 2010 and the Health Sciences Authority’s Excellent Team Player Award for Protection of Public Health and Safety in 2013.
