In lung/thoracic and head/neck cancers, his primary clinical priorities are.

He completed his advanced medical oncology specialist training and was awarded the Academic Medicine Advancement Award (AMDA) fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in the UK to sub-specialize in personalization of lung cancer therapies.

He was a former haematology oncology consultant at the National Cancer Hospital of Singapore (NCIS) and the National University Hospital (NUH) of the National University of Singapore, and was a consulting consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).

Dr Tan Chee Seng was previously assigned to the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine as an assistant professor and undergraduate Qualification officer in medical oncology. He was also a key faculty member of the senior residency at NUH in medical oncology.

Dr Tan Chee Seng is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Medical Oncology Society (ESMO) and the International Lung Cancer Research Association (IASLC).

He has been the principal investigator or co-investigator in many international clinical trials of multi-center cancer, including novel chemotherapy agents, targeted therapies, inhibitors of tyrosine kinase, antibody-drug conjugates, and immunotherapy agents.

In peer-reviewed international journals including Lancet Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research, Molecular Cancer, Lung Cancer, Oncotarget, Aim Oncology, Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology, and Journal of Translational Medicine, he has published or co-authored publications.

In local and regional oncology meetings, Dr. Tan has been invited to speak or chair, and has regularly held public talks for local GPs.

Dr Tan Chee Seng is the beneficiary of many grants, including the Clinician Investigator Salary Support Program of the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) and the Investigational Medicine Unit (IMU) Bridging Funds.
