In 2014, Dr Chaudhari earned her D.M. in neurology from AIIMS, New Delhi. In 2021, she will also have completed a clinical fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, United States of America. Her work encompasses both acute and chronic neurological conditions. Her area of expertise is epilepsy, particularly medically refractory epilepsy. She is trained to treat children, adults, and elderly patients with all types of epilepsy and seizures, including focal seizures, those caused by cortical dysplasia or tumors, drug-resistant seizures, status epilepticus, etc. She also manages epilepsy in a variety of contexts, including sleep and epilepsy, pregnancy and epilepsy, seizures in the intensive care unit (ICU), seizure-related adverse events, and traumatic brain injury and seizures. She is also skilled in evaluating and conducting a variety of clinical neurophysiology investigations, such as visual and auditory evoked potentials, somatosensory evoked potentials, intraoperative mapping, and EEG interpretation in critically ill infants to adults. She has initiated the video EEG monitoring facility and works with her team to care for patients with refractory epilepsy, which includes monitoring non-epileptic patients and pre-surgical evaluation of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. Her team at Fortis, Mulund, is able to provide epilepsy diagnosis, treatment, video EEG monitoring, complex patient care, vagal nerve stimulation, respective surgery, intracranial EEG interpretation, EEG evaluation in the ICU, language mapping with functional MRI, etc.
