Dr Prof Aung Tin, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), is a distinguished clinician scientist renowned for his significant contributions to the field of ophthalmology.

As the Lead Principal Investigator of the Large Collaborative Grant (LCG) titled “Tackling and Reducing Glaucoma Blindness with Emerging Technologies (TARGET),” Dr. Aung has successfully secured over S$20 million in competitive research grant funding. This groundbreaking $25 million multi-disciplinary and multicenter program grant, awarded by the National Medical Research Council of Singapore in 2022, reflects his commitment to advancing eye care through innovative approaches.
