Dr. Prema Padmanabhan received her medical Qualification from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi in 1978 and her MS (Ophthalmology) in 1981.
Between August 1981 and July 1982, she received fellowship training in Vitreoretinal surgery at the Medical Research Foundation, a unit of Sankara Nethralaya. She stayed on as a consultant and is now the Director of Cornea & Refractive Surgery.
