Biodata
- Dr Ong Chin Hu is a Consultant Urologist who has received Fellowship recognition from a number of local and international organizations, including the Academy of Medicine in Singapore (FAMS), the European Board of Urology (FEBU), and the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow (FRCS).
- Dr Ong Chin Hu previously worked as a consultant urologist at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where he is still a visiting consultant. Additionally, he is an assistant kidney transplant surgeon at Singapore’s National Organ Transplant Unit (NOTU).
- Dr Ong obtained his MBBS Honours Qualification from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, in 1997 and finished his Basic Surgical Training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) in 2001. Following that, he completed additional training in Advanced Surgical Urology at Alexandra Hospital (AH) and the National University Hospital (NUH), graduating with honors in 2008. In 2008, he was awarded the European Board of Urology’s (EBU) book prize and the College of Surgeons’ Gold Medal for his accomplishments. He completed his fellowship study in Uro-oncology and Reconstructive Urology in 2009 at the Bern University Hospital in Switzerland under the tuPhoneage of eminent urologist Professor Urs Studer.
- In 2010, he worked as a Laparoscopic Uro-oncology Fellow at the Nepean Hospital (a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney), Australia, under the supervision of Professor Mohammad Khadra. Dr Ong was a 2012 JUA International Foundation Scholar, where he received additional laparoscopic and robotic uro-oncology training at Kobe University Hospital in Japan under the supervision of Professor Masato Fujisawa.
