Qualification & EXPERIENCE YEARS :
Dr Nair V P is a cardiologist with more than 30 EXPERIENCE YEARS YEARS and currently works at Mount Elizabeth and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospitals outside of his clinics. He specializes in patient treatment through interventional cardiology and stent implants.
Dr Nair V P received his post-graduate Qualifications following his graduation (MBBS, 1966). (MRCGP UK, 1975, MRCP Ireland, 1977 and MRCP UK, 1979). He then completed advanced specialist training in cardiology in Singapore and England and was accepted as a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine (Cardiology) in 1981. He was also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh (London).
He became a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK), a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (USA), a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (USA) and a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology in the years that followed (Europe). Then, at the Regional Cardio-Thoracic Centre in England, the San Francisco Heart Hospital in the USA, the Cleveland Clinic in the USA and the Broussais University Hospital in France, he continued his training in interventional cardiology.
Dr Nair V P, a revered figure in the cardiology circle, has addressed many regional and international conventions in cardiology, including the World Cardiology Congress. In Singapore and in Asia, he also gives regular lectures to doctors and nurses. The new concept of cardio cerebral resuscitation and aerobic laughter is close to his heart, and on these concepts he often gives lectures and demonstrations to the medical community and the public.
Also engaged in other areas, the well-published cardiologist is kept busy with social, cultural, Qualificational, sports and charitable activities. Serving as the President of the Charter of the Serangoon Garden Orchard Rotary Club, Singapore from 1990 to 1991 was one of those duties that he took on with all his heart. Dr Nair V P was awarded the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (PBM) from the Government of Singapore for his devotion to the society.
