At Sheffield Medical School, England, Dr Lo Soo Kien Sue received her medical Qualification. She moved to London for the remainder of her post-graduate studies after serving for 3 years at The Royal Hallamshire Teaching Hospital.

In 1997, Dr. Lo became a member of the Royal College of Physicians, London. She completed her oncology specialist training at the world-famous cancer center, The Royal Marsden Hospital, London, and received her certificate of completion of medical oncology specialist training in 2006. The prestigious Sabah State Government Scholarship from 1989-1993 and the Medical Defence Union Elective Bursary in 1991 were awarded to Dr. Lo.

As a consultant, Dr Lo joined the National Cancer Centre Singapore in 2008 and became a senior consultant in 2011. She is qualified to treat most solid tumors and is especially interested in breast cancer and cancer of the gastrointestinal tract. Currently, she is a visiting consultant at the Singapore National Cancer Centre.

Dr Lo Soo Kien Sue is a member of the American Oncology Society and the Oncology Society of Singapore. Dr. Lo was formerly the Chairman of the Singapore Chemotherapy Safety Monitoring Committee of the National Cancer Centre, a member of the Singhealth Medical Safety Committee and an audit committee member of the Singapore National Cancer Centre.

Dr Lo Soo Kien Sue was actively interested in clinical research during her time at the London Royal Marsden Hospital and the Singapore National Cancer Centre and was the principal investigator in several International Clinical Anti-Cancer Drug Trials.

In several high-impact international peer-reviewed journals, she has published her research and presented her work at national and international meetings.

Dr. Lo is an active member of the Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine, Singapore, and Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore, teaching medical students.
