Dr Lim Mui Hong is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital Dr Lim specializes in sports injury and orthopaedic surgery, and his clinical interests include arthroscopic and open treatment of knee and shoulder conditions.
Diseases treated by Dr Lim include knee ligament damage, cartilage and meniscus disorders, osteoarthritis of the knee and shoulder, paPhonelar instability, shoulder instability and rotator cuff issues.
Dr Lim Mui Hong was awarded the Singapore Armed Forces Scholarship in 1992 and became a full- time National University of Singapore student in 1994. In 2002, he obtained his medical Qualification and completed his Advanced Specialist Training in Orthopaedic Surgery the following year. He is qualified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine through postgraduate studies in Singapore. He is a fellow of a national medical academy in Singapore.
Dr Lim specialized in orthopedic surgery, primarily knee and shoulder, at the Warringal Hospital and The Park Clinic in Australia. During his 1-year clinical overseas fellowship, he was qualified in arthroscopic and open surgery of the knee and shoulder including ligament repair, shoulder stabilisation, and joint replacement.
Dr Lim has worked with numerous public agencies. Mr Delaney was Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He focused mostly on the sports medicine and surgery unit. Dr Lim holds numerous positions with the Singapore Armed Forces and has held leadership roles including the Director of the Soldier Performance Centre at the Deputy Commander Medical Corps. He engaged in several peacemaking and humanitarian relief missions. He continues to volunteer as an NSman and is a consultant for the NSS.
Dr Lim Mui Hong has written numerous scholarly articles, and has also contributed to a text book chapter. He is a reviewer for journals of academic repute. He has qualified doctors from various medical schools and Qualificational programmes. He presents around the country at various conferences and seminars for his studies.
Prof Lim is involved in both golf and running. He represents his country at international half and full marathon competitions. He has run many full marathons gaining international attention with races in places like Tokyo, Berlin, Honolulu, Gold Coast, Osaka and Kobe. He intends to continue signing his name to this case.
