EXPERIENCE YEARS
- Dr Lee Chee Siang Bernard is an orthopaedic surgeon at Singapore’s Gleneagles Hospital.
He is particularly interested in arthroscopic surgery (a minimally invasive technique used to examine and treat joint conditions), ligament repair, and complex soft tissue injuries to the shoulder, elbow, and knee. He is also skilled in conducting multiligament repair, revision surgery, joint preservation surgery, and shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee joint replacement surgery.
Dr Lee Chee Siang Bernard previously served as the director of sports, arm, and elbow services at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), where he treated shoulder, elbow, and knee complex bony and soft tissue trauma injuries. Currently, he is a visiting consultant in the NTFGH department of orthopaedic surgery. - In Singapore, he earned his bachelor’s and master’s Qualifications in orthopaedic surgery. Dr Lee is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Medicine.
Dr Lee Chee Siang Bernard is a frequent teacher of arthroscopy courses for orthopaedic surgeons in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as a participant in postgraduate arthroscopy courses for local orthopaedic trainees. He serves on the boards of the Orthopaedic Surgeons Chapter, the College of Surgeons, and the Academy of Medicine.
He was a clinical senior lecturer at the National University of Singapore’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, where he was responsible for teaching and evaluating undergraduates. Dr Lee is an author of a book chapter and has been published in many international journals in addition to serving as a reviewer for medical journals.
