Dr Gurpal Singh specializes in orthopedic surgery, and was born and raised in Singapore.

He specializes in orthopedics, and some other related areas.
His recovery plan for patients consists of bone and soft tissue tumours (benign and malignant), robotic-assisted joint replacement, complex reconstructions of the lower limb, and arthroscopic (keyhole) operations of the hip and knee involving sports injuries and meniscus/ligament reconstruction.

He led a team of orthopaedic surgeons during a robotic-assisted hip replacement operation in the National University Hospital, which culminated in successful implementation.

He completed his orthopaedic surgery training in 2011 and was awarded a Gold Medal for becoming the top candidate in the FRCSEd(Orth) test.

Prior to beginning private practice, Dr Gurpal Singh was a surgeon at a private hospital in Singapore and a research fellow at NUS.

He also holds an appointment at the National University Cancer Hospital (NCIS) as a consultant in surgical oncology, and is involved in teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as specialist doctors from the area.

Dr Singh is actively interested in advancing the life of joint replacements with newer products, as well as finding ways to avoid early joint replacement failure. One of his main clinical areas of focus is treating patients with metal allergies or undergoing joint replacement operations due to joint pain and inflammation. He is highly respected in this field as one of the leading experts in the field.

He has successfully led a team and received the Excellence award in the Asian Hospital Management Awards for a project that aimed to increase the blood transfusion rate in patients undergoing arthroplasty surgery.

Dr Gurpal Singh is currently volunteering and speaking on a number of topics including bone and joint disorders and cancer. he also participates in community outreach for the vulnerable.
