Biodata

Dr Clin Assoc Prof Anna Tan completed her basic medical Qualification at the University of Melbourne in 2004, graduating with honors. Dr Clin Assoc Prof Anna Tan further distinguished herself with a first-class honors Qualification and an additional Advanced Medical Science Qualification in conjunction with Imperial College, London. Afterward, she returned to Singapore to pursue her sub-expert training in ophthalmology, earning a Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2013 and a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh later that same year.

Her dedication to advancing her expertise led her to undertake multiple medical retina fellowships at prestigious institutions, including the Singapore National Eye Centre, the Ophthalmology Department at the University of Bonn under Prof Frank Holz, and the Vitreous Retina Macula New York (VRMNY) under Dr. Lawrence Yannuzzi and Dr. K Bailey Freund.

As a passionate researcher, Dr Clin Assoc Prof Anna Tan has contributed significantly to her field, with 53 peer-reviewed articles, 4 editorials, and 4 book chapters to her name. She has been a representative of the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) at numerous local and international conferences, presenting both posters and oral presentations.
