- He has garnered numerous honours and prizes throughout the years as a consummate thought leader and published academic. Among them, he received the Warren and Marshall Helicobacter Pylori Award from Australian Nobel laureates Professors Robin Warren and Barry Marshall for his study on the relationship between diverse Helicobacter pylori strains and ulcer illness.

He is also passionate about developing standards for high-quality endoscopy and serves on the Quality Assurance Subcommittee of Singapore’s National Colorectal Cancer Screening Program.
