- Dr Bernard Lin Kuo Hung is a surgeon specializing in orthopaedics. He graduated from NUS in 2000 and earned a Master of Medicine in orthopaedic surgery from the same institution in 2006. He later earned his MRCS and FRCS in orthopaedic surgery from the Edinburgh-based Royal College of Surgeons. Dr Lin has presented at a variety of conferences and has publications in peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, he contributed a book chapter to the book ‘Shoulder Instability: A Comprehensive Approach’ (Elsevier, 2011). Dr Lin’s speciality clinical interests include arthroscopic and open shoulder and knee surgery. Among the specialized operations performed are shoulder rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability repair, arthroscopic knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus and cartilage repair, and shoulder and knee joint replacement. He has completed a fellowship in hip arthroscopy. He also specializes in general sports injuries, as well as elbow, hip, and ankle joint ailments.
- Dr Bernard Lin Kuo Hung was previously a consultant at TTSH’s Orthopaedic Surgery Department and Division of Sports Medicine and Surgery. He is a member of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine as well as the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He was awarded the HMDP fellowship and trained as a clinical fellow in orthopaedic sports medicine and surgery at the Concordia Hospital for Special Surgery in Italy. Dr Lin was a Visiting Fellow under Professor Eiji Itoi at Japan Tohoku University’s Shoulder Service, Orthopaedic Department, in January 2011. In December 2011, he was also given the Belgium Hip Arthroscopy Traveling Fellowship Award.
