Dr Yung Shing Wai, currently practicing at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore, is an orthopaedic surgeon. Dr Yung is especially interested in foot and ankle surgery, as well as in shoulder and elbow surgery.
In 1985, Dr Yung Shing Wai graduated from the National University of Singapore with an MBBS for the first time. In 1990, he was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and in 1997, he became a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine. At the University of Washington in Seattle, USA, Dr Yung completed his sub-Expert In fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery and shoulder surgery.
As an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Yung has more than 15 EXPERIENCE YEARS YEARS. Dr. Yung was a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Singapore General Hospital prior to setting up his private practice, where he was also the director of the Foot and Ankle Service. At the Department of Orthopaedics at Singapore General Hospital, he is now a visiting consultant.
The main clinical focus of Dr Yung is on foot and ankle surgery for the correction and rehabilitation of complicated foot conditions such as bunions, fractures, foot and ankle ligament injuries, and heel pain caused by problems with plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendon. Dr Yung Shing Wai also specializes in the treatment of shoulder injuries, such as shoulder dislocations and dysfunction, reconstruction of the shoulder joint, and complications with the rotator cuff.
