In 2015, NUH again awarded him the Academic Medicine Development (Team) Award, where he brought his team to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, to learn from world leaders in early mobilization in the Intensive Care Unit. He implemented a similar early mobilization project at NUH, which led to better functional patient outcomes after critical illness. Dr. Yip also enjoys educating the next generation of physicians. He had been involved in the education of medical students at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and was also a senior faculty member of the National University Health System Internal Medicine Residency Program.
