Qualification & EXPERIENCE YEARS :
- Dr Yap Lip Kee has been practicing in Mount Elizabeth Medical Center since 1991 at Gynae Consultancy Pte Ltd. Though his primary Expert In has been in gynecology, infertility and endoscopic surgery (also called keyhole surgery or minimally invasive surgery), he has retained an active interest in institutional and academic practice.
- During this time, he continued to teach at what was then called the Kandang Kerbu Hospital. Dr Yap Lip Kee began and led the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit in the new K. K. Women’s & Children’s Hospital from 1997 to 2003. He was the President of the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy from 2001 to 2003. He was a member of the Singapore Medical Council from 1999 – 2008.
- From 2002 to 2008 he was Medical Director of the Mount Elizabeth Fertility Centre. Dr Yap is also a visiting Professor of Gynecology at the Xin Hua Hospital in Shanghai. As a doctor, he believes first in “above all, do no harm” and that risk assessment is key to success. He loves skiing and golf, is married and has three children.
