- Dr Yang Tuck Loong Edward is a Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospitals. He has a keen interest in the treatment of urologic, paediatric, breast, and nasopharyngeal cancers and has over 20 years of radiotherapy EXPERIENCE YEARS .
Dr Yang graduated from the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Medicine in 1981 and began his radiotherapy training in 1984. He was then awarded a Higher Manpower Development Programme Fellowship to pursue subExpert In training in radiotherapy and oncology at Middlesex Hospital and Middlesex-University College Hospital Medical School from 1986 to 1988.
Dr Yang previously worked at the Singapore General Hospital as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist, where he supervised Urologic Oncology in the Department of Therapeutic Radiology. He also served as Senior Consultant of Radiation Oncology at the National Cancer Centre, where he established the Department of Radiation Oncology’s 3D conformal Assurance. - Dr Yang Tuck Loong Edward Tuck Loong Edward has a variety of teaching responsibilities at the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Medicine and Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Nursing as a result of his EXPERIENCE YEARS and leadership in the field, including post-basic oncology nursing, therapeutic radiography, and radiotherapy concepts. Additionally, he is a member of the Specialist Training Committee, which oversees radiation oncology training in Singapore.
Dr Yang Tuck Loong Edward is a frequent presenter at conferences in Brunei, China, Indonesia, and Singapore, and has been invited to speak at conferences in Brunei, China, Indonesia, and Singapore. He has also presented on topics ranging from Head and Neck Cancer to Nasopharyngeal Cancer in Malaysia, the United States, Dublin, Japan, and Singapore. Dr Yang has contributed to several articles and publications in the field of Radiation Oncology, including The Singapore Medical Journal, Annals of the Academy of Medicine, and Annals of Oncology.
Dr Yang has made significant contributions to the medical profession through care and Qualification, as well as community service. He has worked on the boards of the St Andrews Mission Hospital and the Singapore Society of Oncology’s Executive Committee, and was also a founding member of the Nasopharyngeal Cancer Work Group in Singapore.
Prostate Cancer, Pediatric Cancer, Breast Cancer, Nasopharyngeal Cancer, and Colorectal Cancer are the clinical areas of focus.
Radiotherapy, Therapeutic Radiotherapy, and Brachytherapy are the procedures that are highlighted.
