Dr Wong Yoke Hae Francis graduated from Singapore National University in 1982 and was admitted to the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) as a Fellow and to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 1987 as a Fellow.
Dr Wong Yoke Hae Francis was admitted to the Orthopaedic Specialist Registry as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, in 1991.
As a trainee at the University Department of Orthopaedics, University of Singapore, Dr Wong started his training in orthopaedic surgery. Before becoming a consultant at the Singapore General Hospital, he served as a senior resident at the National University Hospital, Alexandra Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital after graduation. He was awarded the prestigious HMDP fellowship for which he spent time training in paediatric orthopaedics and adult reconstruction surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London and Stanmore and Adenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
He was in charge of the establishment of the Paediatric Orthopaedic Service at SGH upon his return to Singapore.
Dr Wong Yoke Hae Francis started full private practice at Mt Elizabeth Hospital in 1996. In the treatment of congenital hip and foot defects, as well as co-management of children with special needs such as cerebral palsy, he has a special interest. He is also especially involved in fully controlled complete knee replacement surgery.
