Biodata

• Dr Wong Kutt Sing graduated from NUS with an MBBS on the Lim Boon Keng Scholarship. He is a Fellow of the Royal Surgical Colleges of Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as the Singapore Academy of Medicine. In 2002, he completed a clinical fellowship in Advanced Colorectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the United States of America on a Singapore Government Health Manpower Development Plan Scholarship.
• He is a member of the Cochrane Colorectal Cancer Group and one of the International Anastomotic Leak Study Group’s collaborators. He has published in journals such as the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery, the Asian Journal of Surgery, and Colon and Rectal Diseases, as well as a book chapter in Current Therapy in Colon and Rectal Surgery (2nd Ed, published 2005). He serves as a paper reviewer for the Annals of the Singapore Academy of Medicine and the Singapore Medical Journal.
• In 2010, 2011, and 2015, he got the Annals Gold Reviewer Award for his excellent review work with the Annals.
• Dr Wong previously worked as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at NUS’s Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and as a Clinical Examiner for the Final Professional MBBS Examinations’ Surgery Track. He was a founder member of the Singapore Society of Colorectal Surgeons. He got the Gold and Star Excellent Service Awards at the national level in 2007 and 2008, respectively. He also got the Raffles Medical Group’s Service Star Award in 2010. Additionally, during his full-time national service, he was the top cadet in his Medical Officer Cadet Course. Dr Wong co-authored a Clinical EXPERIENCE YEARS Paper on surgical treatment of piles in 2015.
