EXPERIENCE YEARS
- Dr Wang Yu Tien is a gastroenterologist in Singapore, where he practices at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.
He specializes in intestinal, bowel, and liver diseases, with a particular interest in disorders of digestive function such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
He has extensive EXPERIENCE YEARS managing a variety of gastrointestinal, metabolic, and liver diseases and specializes in digestive disorders such as heartburn, GERD, and irritable bowel syndrome, as well as liver problems such as cirrhosis, Hepatitis A, B, and C, and fatty liver disease. - Dr Wang Yu Tien is also skilled in specialized endoscopy procedures such as gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and polypectomy.
Dr Wang earned his undergraduate Qualification in 2001 from The University of Sydney and completed his postgraduate training in internal medicine and advanced training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) in 2010. To further his interest in digestive function disorders, he completed a one-year fellowship at the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry’s Centre for Digestive Diseases.
Dr Wang previously worked as a senior consultant at SGH’s gastroenterology and hepatology department, where he contributed to the establishment of a multidisciplinary service for the management of digestive function disorders that incorporates medical, nutritional, and psychological therapy. He was also the head of the gastrointestinal function laboratory at SGH during his tenure. He was also a founding faculty member and co-chair of SingHealth’s gastroenterology training program.
He is currently the Singapore Medical Journal’s gastroenterology Expert In publisher. The New England Journal of Medicine’s Journal Watch has recognized his work in the fields of gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndromes, clinical nutrition, and digestive function disorders.
