- Dr. Vanita Arora is a leading cardiologist and the country’s first female cardiac electrophysiologist. Her expertise in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology includes RF ablation of complex arrhythmias, ICD implantation, Biventricular Pacemakers, Leadless Pacemakers, and His Bundle Pacing. She is the Director and Chief of the Cardiac Electrophysiology lab and Arrhythmia Services at the Max Super Speciality Hospital in Saket, New Delhi.
- In her medical career spanning more than two decades, Dr. Arora has earned a number of prestigious awards, including the “Distinguished Service Award” bestowed by His Excellency, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam for outstanding contribution in the field of Clinical & Preventive Cardiology in the world, ” Rising Star in Cardiology”, “Woman Doctor Entrepreneur of year 2018”, and “Chikitsa Ratan,” among others.
- Dr. Arora obtained a DNB in cardiology, as well as training in interventional cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology, during her tenure at the Escorts Heart Hospital from 1995 to 2007. She completed her fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Complex Arrhythmias at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, United States, and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy at University Hospital in Magdeburg, Germany. She then established 3D Mapping Ablation for complex arrhythmias at Escorts as a pioneer.
- In 2009, she established the department of cardiac electrophysiology at the Max Hospital in Saket. After receiving training in Florida, she performed the first Live Case of a leadless pacemaker in the Asia-Pacific region at the TCT India in August 2016. She also has Physiological Pacing workshops to her credit, for which she received training at the Rush University Medical Centre in Chicago, United States. She is a pioneer in 3D Mapping for complex arrhythmias, Leadless Pacemakers, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy, His Bundle Pacing, and Left Bundle Pacing in the United States.
