Dr Trupti Sudhir Patil received her basic medical Qualification from ACPM Medical College in 2000 and her diplomate of the national board (DNB) in ophthalmology from Rajiv Gandhi Medical College in Maharashtra in 2006.
In 2007, she served as a house officer at Mumbai’s Bandra Bhabha Hospital, where she treated general ophthalmology OPD and OT for cataract patients.
She received phacoemulsification training at NAB eye hospital in 2008 and later worked in a comprehensive ophthalmic setup at the same hospital in 2009, where I managed center administration. During this time, she was actively interested in surgical preparation for small incision cataract surgery and phacoemulsification.
In 2010, she served as a consultant at the KK Eye Hospital in Pune, where she supervised high-volume cataract surgery for camp patients.
In 2011, she completed a short-term glaucoma observership at Arvind Eye Hospital in Coimbatore. In 2012-2013, she completed a long-term glaucoma fellowship at Narayana Nethralaya in Bangalore. In November 2013, Dr Trupti Sudhir Patil entered the glaucoma department at Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai. She is currently employed as a Consultant in the Glaucoma Department at Sankara Nethralaya. She has given research papers and poster presentations at national and international conferences. She was a coauthor on a review article on OCT perception in glaucoma.
She actively participated in the All India Ophthalmic Society annual meeting in 2015, the Glaucoma Society of India annual meeting in Palampur in 2016, and the Tamilnadu Ophthalmic Society annual meeting in 2019. In 2013, she was named a “Fellow of the All India Collegium of Ophthalmologists” in the subExpert In of Glaucoma.
Her area of interest is structural and functional changes in glaucoma and Glaucoma surgery.
