Biodata

Dr Thomas Ho Wai Thong is a General Surgeon with a strong interest in Oncology Surgery.
He did his training in general surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was appointed consultant in 2009. He then began a two-year residency in Surgical Oncology the following year.
Dr Ho is board certified in Head and Neck/Endocrine Surgery and specializes in minimally invasive techniques such as endoscopic and robotic thyroid surgery. Patients can anticipate a one-stop shop for all Head & Neck surgical needs. If surgery is necessary, particular emphasis is placed on cosmetically acceptable surgical approaches.
Dr Ho is also an expert in advanced abdominal tumors, notably colorectal and ovarian cancers that have metastasized to the peritoneal lining (peritoneal surface malignancy). This is accomplished using a procedure known as cytoreductive surgery in conjunction with hot intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). He is one of only a few surgeons who have completed a fellowship in this oncology treatment.
Dr Thomas Ho Wai Thong is a board-certified laparoscopic surgeon who specializes in colon, small intestinal, and adrenal tumors, as well as hernia repair (inguinal, femoral and ventral).
Dr Ho established the Tan Tock Seng hospital’s Head and Neck Surgery and Surgical Oncology departments. He is an accomplished surgeon with nearly two decades of EXPERIENCE YEARS at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and other public institutions.
Dr Ho previously served as the Chief of Surgery at Woodlands Health Campus.
Thomas Ho Surgery is scheduled to open in April 2020.
