Dr Teoh Tiong Ann is a general surgeon practicing at Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital. He specialises in the treatment of cancers of the colon and rectum. Anal disorders like masses, fistulae (abnormal connections) and fissures are also viewed (tears).

Keyhole operations such as gall bladder removal, appendix removal, large intestine surgery, and endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy may also be conducted by Dr Teoh.

In 1985, under a Singapore Government Public Service Commission Merit Scholarship, Dr Teoh Tiong Ann received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the National University of Singapore.

Dr Teoh Tiong Ann then went on to study in general surgery and obtain a Masters of Medicine in Surgery and was awarded a Singapore Government Fellowship. After advanced study, he then became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK, and a fellow of the Singapore Academy of Medicine.

Subsequently, at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Florida, USA, Dr Teoh was awarded a Singapore Government Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to pursue subExpert In training in colorectal surgery.

Dr Teoh Tiong Ann was a founding member of the Asian Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons and the Singapore Society of Colorectal Surgeons, and a member of the American Colon and Rectal Surgeons Society (ASCRS). He also served as a council member of the Technology Committee at ASCRS.
