He also became a member of the United Kingdom’s Royal College of Physicians in 1979.   Dr Teh was formerly the deputy head of the Department of Medicine at the Singapore General Hospital and a senior consultant physician there (SGH). He had also been named director of the SGH’s endoscopy center. Dr Teh earned the employee customer service award for his efforts.
• Dr Teh’s research interests include malabsorption, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), lactose intolerance and breath hydrogen studies, abdominal tuberculosis, drug-induced gastrointestinal bleeding, and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
