- Dr Teh Lip Bin is a gastroenterologist who practices at Singapore’s Gleneagles Hospital. Dr Teh Lip Bin graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1975 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery Qualification (NUS). He then received a Singapore Government Fellowship in 1978 to pursue a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) Qualification. He also became a member of the United Kingdom’s Royal College of Physicians in 1979. Dr Teh was also awarded a Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship by the Singapore Ministry of Health in 1982 to train in gastroenterology at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
Dr Teh was formerly the deputy head of the Department of Medicine at the Singapore General Hospital and a senior consultant physician there (SGH). He had also been named director of the SGH’s endoscopy center. Dr Teh earned the employee customer service award for his efforts. - Dr Teh’s research interests include malabsorption, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), lactose intolerance and breath hydrogen studies, abdominal tuberculosis, drug-induced gastrointestinal bleeding, and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.
