Biodata
- Dr. Tarun Sahni is a graduate of Armed Forces Medical College, after which he served for over a decade in the Indian Navy before taking voluntary release to pursue his aspirations. He then worked in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates before returning to India in 2000 to establish India’s first private hyperbaric treatment center at the Apollo Hospital Delhi, which he currently directs. Dr. Sahni is recognized as the “founder of modern hyperbaric medicine in India” and is the author of more than 25 publications and book chapters. For this contribution to Qualification and research in the field of Diving & Hyperbaric Medicine, the Apollo Hospital & Qualificational Research Foundation has awarded him the title of “Adjunct Professor.” In 2000, he was also mentioned in the Limca Book of Records.
