Biodata

• Dr Tan Tiang Lee is Raffles Hospital’s Medical Director. He is a plastic surgeon specializing in general breast and breast cancer surgery, including breast reconstruction, head and neck surgery (thyroid and salivary gland surgery), and aesthetic surgery. Prior to joining Raffles Hospital in 2001, he served as Professor of Surgery at the National University of Singapore and as Chief of Surgery and Head of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the National University Hospital’s Department of Surgery. He was also a Master of the Singapore Academy of Medicine (2000- 2002). He is a consultant plastic surgeon on a visiting basis at National University Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.
• Dr Tan Tiang Lee was a member of the team at Raffles Hospital in 2003 that successfully separated the Korean ischiopagus conjoined twins. Prof Tan is also on the faculty of the National University of Singapore as an Adjunct Professor of Surgery. He served as a member of the Singapore Medical Council (2006–2010), the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons’ Past President (2003–2009), and the Singapore Society for Cosmetic (Aesthetic) Surgery’s President (2009-2011). He previously served on the board of the Singapore Health Sciences Authority (2007–2013) and is currently on the board of the Asian Medical Foundation. Additionally, Dr Tan Tiang Lee serves as the National Representative of Singapore for the International Confederation for Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS).
