Dr Tan Sok Chuen is a specialist in orthopaedic surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
She specializes in hip and knee surgery and is a specialist in particular surgical procedures.
She previously held the position of consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

In 2004, she completed her undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore, and went on to seek medical training while passing through tertiary institutions in Singapore.

Dr Tan Sok Chuen completed a clinical fellowship in hip and knee surgery, as well as a research and clinical fellowship in joint pathology at the London Health Sciences Centre in Canada.

An supporter of educating younger physicians, Dr Tan is a consultant in the medical undergraduate teaching programme for the NUS Medical School.

Dr Tan Sok Chuen was named Best Graduate Tutor in 2014.

Dr Tan Sok Chuen has also volunteered for the Advanced Trauma Life Support 2013, worked as an instructor for the AO Trauma ORP and Advances Course 2013, and has been a table instructor for the Direct Anterior Hip Cadaveric Course of London Health Sciences Centre.

She was an integral part of the Joint Expert In Fellowship Review for Orthopaedics, chaired the 6th Residency Arthroplasty Course, and participated in the NAVIO Robotics for Knee Arthroplasty workshop.

Dr Tan Sok Chuen has contributed greatly to the literature in her area of expertise and her presentations have been well-received. Her works on hydroxyapatite trunnionosis in hip replacements are often cited in journals with indexing.

As a mother of an active toddler, Dr Tan knows the value of mobility that the modern working mother requires. She agrees that all people should have the right to age with dignity and maintain the quality of life in old age.
