EXPERIENCE YEARS
- Dr Tan Chong Tien earned his medical Qualification from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in 1974. He was admitted to the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) in 1981 and to the Academy of Medicine Singapore (Orthopaedic Surgery) in 1987.
- Dr. Tan has been studying orthopaedic and spinal surgery for over two decades. He was the director of spine services at Singapore General Hospital from 1989 to 2000 and was instrumental in developing the spine subExpert In. Numerous novel techniques were developed during this time span. During his tenure, Dr. Tan was also responsible for training a large number of international and domestic spine surgeons and was named Visiting Professor at Taishan and Ningxia Medical Colleges in China.
