Dr Susan Childs is the Lead Clinical Psychologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she organizes and controls all pain management services. Pain management services include a wide range of services aimed at meeting the demands of the many presentations that frequently accompany chronic pain. Group therapies tailored to the patient’s abilities and emotional difficulties are available through pain management services.
Those who do not meet the entrance requirements (but have the capacity to do so) are offered specialized dual sessions to help them get there. Patients who are unable to attend groups can receive a one-on-one assessment for referral or, in a limited number of circumstances, one-on-one therapy.
