Dr Sumita Agarkar is the Deputy Director of the Department of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. She received her MBBS in 1992 from M.G.M Memorial Medical College and her MS in Ophthalmology in 1996 from Pt. J.N.M Medical College Raipur.
In 1998, she received her Diplomate of the National Board. From 1996 to 1998, she completed a fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology at Aravind Eye Hospital. In 1999, she joined Sankara Nethralaya as a consultant in the Department of Paediatric Ophthalmology. She has given many papers at state and national conferences. She has also been a guest speaker at a number of symposia and CME programs.
