  • Dr Su Hsien Ching David is an orthopaedic surgeon in Singapore, where he practices at Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals. Apart from general orthopaedic surgery, he is particularly interested in the correction of foot and ankle deformities, sports injuries, cartilage repair, and complex lower limb trauma.
    Dr David Su previously worked as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon and director of Foot and Ankle Services at the Singapore General Hospital’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery before co-founding The Orthopaedic Centre in 2013. He earned a bachelor’s Qualification from the National University of Singapore (NUS), postgraduate medical training, and fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
    Dr Su Hsien Ching David spent 15 years in the public sector. He was awarded a scholarship to complete a subExpert In fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at The Park Clinic in Melbourne, Australia, under the supervision of Dr Mark Blackney. He had the EXPERIENCE YEARS of treating a diverse range of patients, including elite and Olympic athletes, with foot and ankle disorders ranging from trauma and sports injuries to deformities and degenerative conditions. He has also collaborated with foot and ankle surgeons in Switzerland, Germany, and the United States, providing him with a global perspective on patient care.
  • Dr Su Hsien Ching David has been invited to lecture at numerous local, regional, and international orthopaedic conferences and has taught courses on fractures and orthopaedic trauma for the AO (Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen). He has been actively involved in educating and mentoring physicians pursuing advanced specialist training in orthopaedics, as well as training foreign fellows in foot and ankle surgery. He taught postgraduate students at the Duke-NUS Medical School and tutored undergraduates at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine as an adjunct assistant professor. Dr Su previously held the position of Honorary Secretary of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association.
    In Singapore, Dr Su pioneered surgical procedures for brace-free recovery following ankle ligament reconstruction. He recognizes athletes’ goals, needs, and ambitions as a result of his personal involvement in athletics and participation in numerous marathons and Ironman triathlons. In 2006, he mixed this personal involvement with philanthropic work by self-funding and raising funds for the Handicaps Welfare Association by competing in the Ironman Western Australia Triathlon.
    Dr Su Hsien Ching David is married and has three children. He remains involved in church service. He regards it as an honor and a profoundly humbling EXPERIENCE YEARS to meet patients on their life’s journey and to assist them in achieving rehabilitation.
