Biodata
Dr Sim Hsien Lin, a highly skilled General Surgeon specializing in Colorectal procedures, practices at the prestigious Thomson Surgical Centre. She embarked on her medical journey by graduating from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002, further enhancing her expertise with a Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2007.
Having completed her specialization in General Surgery, she achieved the esteemed title of Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2011, marking her exceptional performance by winning the Gold Medal at the FRCS Exit Examination that year. In 2013, she honed her skills through sub expert training at St Mark’s Hospital in London.
Dr Sim Hsien Lin’s passion lies in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and transanal endoscopic microsurgery. Before entering private practice, Dr. Sim held the position of senior consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and served as a visiting consultant at Admiralty Medical Centre. She was also an Associate Program Director with the National Healthcare Group (NHG) Residency Programme. During her tenure at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, she actively engaged in public Qualification by organizing public forums and delivering community talks.

She assumed the role of Service Lead of the Geriatric Surgical Service, firmly believing in the significance of transdisciplinary care for elderly and complex patients throughout their perioperative and recovery journey.
