Biography

Dr. Seow Kang Hong has been an orthopedic surgeon for over 25 years and is currently a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon practicing at Farrer Park Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, and Parkway East Hospital. He was Director of the Adult Reconstruction Service at Singapore General Hospital before going into private practice in 2002. He has performed many orthopedic operations throughout his career. His special interests are hip and knee joint replacement and reconstruction surgery. Dr. Seow began his career as an orthopedic surgeon in 1987 and joined Singapore General Hospital (SGH) as a consultant in 1989. In 1998, Dr. Seow was appointed Deputy Director of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at SGH and at the same time, appointed as the Director of its Adult Reconstruction Service until 2002, when he was instrumental in taking the department to new heights. In addition to his experience in treating orthopedic conditions and performing nearly 150 knee and hip operations per year, Dr. Seow is also a dedicated speaker and trainer at numerous local and foreign institutions. He was a reviewer for the Singapore National Medical Research Council and a guest editor for the Orthopedic Journal of China.

Dr. Seow’s specialty interests are hip and knee joint replacements and reconstructive surgery.
