Dr Saji Alexander received his undergraduate Qualification at Vellore, India, at Christian Medical College. In London, he completed his postgraduate paediatric training. In September 2005, he was named a pediatrics consultant. Saji Alexander is a paediatric diabetologist with a strong focus in paediatric endocrinology, in addition to being a general paediatrician.

In paediatric endocrinology and diabetes, he received training at Chelsea and Westminster, Great Ormond Street, and University College London Hospitals. He also leads a bone marrow transplant endocrine late-effects clinic with the haematologists at St Marys Hospital, in addition to general endocrinology. He also runs clinics for children with CF-related diabetes at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

Dr Saji Alexander is active in audit and research activities based on his clinical practice, which includes Vitamin D deficient prevalence, endocrine late effects of non-oncological BMT, and cancer patient fertility preservation.
