- Dr. Ravi Bhatia is a renowned neurosurgeon with 48 EXPERIENCE YEARS YEARS.
In 2010, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Neurological Society of India.
Professor Jacob Chandy of the CMCH in Vellore initiated him into neurosurgery. Afterwards, he was successfully trained by Prof. P.N.Tandon at AIIMS and by the late Prof. Kristian Kristiansen at Oslo (Norway). During his stay in Scandinavia, he also collaborated with Professors Ansgar Torvik in Neuropathology and Lars Leksell in Stereotactic Surgery. - Neurovascular surgery, inflammatory diseases of the brain and spinal cord, stereotactic surgery, and cranio-vertebral abnormalities are among his particular areas of interest in neurosurgery.
His academic knowledge is widely recognized, and he has served as a reviewer for a number of national medical journals. He has also served as a postgraduate examiner at a number of neurosurgery centers.
He has also served as a selector for fellowships and as an expert on selection committees for the faculty of neurosurgery.
In addition, he has served as a neurosurgical training inspector for the National Board of Exams.
His expertise has been recognized internationally, and he has been asked to teach at various Neurosurgical Hospitals in the United Kingdom, the United States, Norway, and Pakistan.
Regularly, he has attended National and International Neurosurgical Meetings.
He is a founding member and previous trustee of the Spastics Society of Northern India.
His memberships include the Neurological Society of India and the Delhi Neurological Association.
He is an Honorable Man. Member of the Indian Society of Functional and Sterrotactic Neurosurgery.
He is a registered physician with the Delhi Medical Council, Punjab Medical Council, and Madras Medical Council, as well as a member of a number of executive committees.
He was a former member of the BHU, Varanasi and SGPGI, Lucknow Boards of Studies.
He made numerous contributions to research and publications.
He has been awarded the Inlaks Scholarship.
He completed his MBBS at AIIMS, his MS at Delhi University, and his MCh in Neurosurgery at AIIMS.
