Dr Ramesh Subramaniam practices in orthopaedics at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital. He has surgical EXPERIENCE YEARS operating on the joints of the back, knee, hip and elbow. He is also specialized in hip, elbow and shoulder replacements.

Dr Ramesh Subramaniam received his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Master of Medicine in orthopaedic surgery from the National University of Singapore. He was qualified in bone, joint, and general surgery and obtained the rank of fellow from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK in trauma and orthopaedics.

Dr Ramesh Subramaniam was granted a visa to undertake his subExpert In training in shoulder and knee surgery at the Santry Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin, Ireland.

He was then awarded the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) scholarship to pursue a sports fellowship under Dr. Ramon Cugat, who is a renowned knee surgeon and consultant for the Spanish national soccer team. As part of Dr Ramesh’s preparation, Dr Ramesh spent time with the Catalan Football Federation’s orthopedic teams and cared for the Catalunya province’s soccer players. He also completed a surgical residency in shoulder surgery, had EXPERIENCE YEARS in arthroscopic operations and joint replacements, and was accredited in joint replacement surgery.

Dr Ramesh will be working as an adjunct clinical lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in NUS. He is an adjunct faculty member and the chairman of the National Healthcare Group’s hand surgery residency programme review committee. As sports surgery fellowship supervisor at the Texas Tech Sports Medicine Fellowship, he has trained foreign fellows from India, Phillipines, and Malaysia.

Dr Ramesh has a comprehensive body of work in respected foreign journals. He has presented his research in conferences in more than one region. He has also introduced and illustrated innovative methods in the area of knee and shoulder surgery.

Dr. Ramesh was very active in the society, and he supported people in need. He has volunteered in Indonesia while working for the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation in pro bono surgery. He is a physician who has engaged in ISBS programs to provide health care to the rural villages in Indonesia. He is the winner of the Ministry of Health award for human relief efforts.
