• Dr Rajan Santosham is the Chairman of the Santosham Chest Hospital and a Senior Thoracic Surgeon. He also works at Apollo Hospital as a Senior Consultant in Thoracic Surgery. He graduated from Madras Medical College in 1970 with an MBBS, an MS in 1974, and an M.Ch in thoracic surgery in 1977.
• He enrolled as a student at Madras Medical College and retired in 2005 as head of the Government General Hospital’s Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Rajan Santosham, a thoracic surgeon with a demanding schedule at the G.H., maintained an interest in this field of surgery despite his demanding schedule.
• Dr Rajan Santhosham is a member of seventeen professional organizations worldwide. Among his accomplishments are the Indian Association of Bronchology’s lifetime achievement award and admittance as a fellow to the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr Rajan Santhosham has trained numerous surgeons and pulmonologists and has conducted bronchoscopy seminars.
