Dr Phuah Huan Kee is a pediatric physician at the Mount Elizabeth School of Medicine and a specialist in neurology with an emphasis in paediatrics (KKH).
He earned a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (1989) from the National University of Singapore .
Dr Phuah Huan Kee was a Child Neurology Fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Alabama, a paediatric teaching hospital of the University of Alabama, from 1997 to 2000. He was honored as a foreign fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore for services rendered.
Dr Phuah Huan Kee worked in the Department of Paediatric Medicine, and previously served as a Consultant at the Department of Neurology. He also was a member of the hospital’s Medical Board. He obtained two research grants from Singhealth, to research the effectiveness of portable video EEG monitoring for seizure characterization and diagnosis, and to create a database for Seizure Disorders in Children.
Dr. Phuah has a particular interest in the treatment of common neurological conditions in children, such as epilepsy, migraines, learning disorders, and chronic pain (meningitis, encephalitis, refractory seizures, altered awareness, acute flaccid paralysis, strokes, etc).
