Qualification & EXPERIENCE YEARS :

Dr Ooi Wei Seong graduated with distinction from Trinity College Dublin with honors in Ireland in 1999. He was accredited by MRCP (UK) and in 2003 became a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He did his oncology training at Dublin St Vincent’s University Hospital and worked for a number of years in Ireland before moving to Canada afterwards. He spent three years as a clinical fellow in medical oncology at Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada.

Dr Ooi Wei Seong practiced at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) and eventually at Raffles Hospital prior to joining the Harley Street Clinic Singapore. He is now a Visiting Consultant at the Singapore National Cancer Centre. In recognition of his outstanding service to patients, he also received the Singapore Health Quality Service Medal.

Dr Ooi Wei Seong has given talks on cancer management in the area to overseas oncologists and general practitioners. He has also appeared at local GP symposiums, organized cancer patient seminars and public forums. In addition to teaching junior doctors, nurses, Duke-NUS students, and elective fellows, he was a Clinical Mentor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. For several cancer studies, he is also a co-investigator and has written extensively in medical journals.

In general oncology, Dr Ooi is well versed and has special interests in the treatment of cancers of the lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and head & neck.
