Biodata
Dr Nidhu Jasm’s journey in the field of medicine began when she earned her M.B, and B.S from Delhi University in 2007. Fueled by her passion for surgery, she went on to achieve her Master’s in General Surgery from Singapore, complemented by the prestigious Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) in 2011.
From the early days of her surgical career, Dr. Nidhu displayed a deep interest in Pediatric Surgery. She underwent rigorous training at National University Hospital, Singapore, eventually obtaining her specialist certification in Pediatric Surgery in 2016.
Her expertise shines in the realm of laparoscopy, which led her to acquire fellowships in laparoscopy from World Laparoscopy Hospital, India. Since 2016, she has been a lifetime member of the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in Laparoscopy at National University Hospital, Singapore.
Taking her pursuit of knowledge further, Dr. Nidhu honed her skills at Cambridge University Hospital (Addenbrookes) during a two-year tenure as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Surgery.
Her stay in the UK garnered recognition, as she received two British Association of Pediatric Surgeons (BAPES) scholarships in the field of Laparoscopy from Karl Storz London in 2018.
Her commitment to her profession extends to her desire to continuously enhance her expertise in Pediatric Surgery. In December 2018, she was recognized as a fellow of the European Board of Pediatric Surgeons.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Nidhu strongly believes in giving back to the community. She has been conducting seminars to raise awareness since her medical school days.
Since 2012, Dr Nidhu Jasm has held the role of Deputy Zone Surgeon with St. John’s Ambulance, where she trains young cadets in emergency care. Her dedication also extends to mentoring both local and international medical students, furthering their Qualifications as she advances in her career.
