Dr Nicholas Chew Sern Yan is a Specialist in Infectious Diseases and joined Farrer Park Hospital in 2018. Dr Chew received his MB, BCh, BAO, BA from Trinity College Dublin, and Ph.D. in Medicine from University College Dublin. He completed his postgraduate specialist clinical training in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine in Ireland and has further qualifications in Genitourinary Medicine and Sexually Transmitted Infections. Prior to setting up his practice “Nicholas Chew Infectious Diseases”, Dr Chew was a Senior Consultant at the Department of Infectious Diseases NUH. He headed the NUH Transplant Infectious Diseases Program and was a key member of the National University Center for Organ Transplantation (NUCOT) Dr Chew’s area of ​​special interest also includes HIV medicine, bone, and spine infections, fecal microbiome transplantation (FMT), diabetic foot infections and genitourinary medicine. Dr. Chew’s specialty interests are bone and spine infections, diabetic foot infections, fecal microbiome transplantation (FMT), genitourinary medicine, and HIV medicine.
