Dr Ng Yung Chuan Sean currently performs orthopedic surgery and is based out of Gleneagles Hospital. Dr Ng Yung Chuan Sean’s clinical interests are in disorders of the foot and ankle, arthritic diseases, sports injuries and trauma-related injuries.
Dr Ng Yung Chuan Sean earned his Ph.D. in 2004 from the National University of Singapore. He received his M.D. in orthopaedic surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007, and received his M.R.C.S.E. in 2010. This student subsequently received a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010.
Prior to her private practice, Dr Ng Yung Chuan Sean was a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Singapore General Hospital, while she was also a member of the Medical Board of the Singapore General Hospital. He is a visiting researcher at SGH.
Via the Ministry of Health’s Human Manpower Development Program, Dr Ng completed his orthopaedic training at the largest and most prestigious hospital in Switzerland, the Hopital Universitaire de Geneva (HUG).
Dr Ng Yung Chuan Sean is an orthopaedic surgery surgeon who has treated all aspects of arthritis, sports injuries and lower limb disorders. He is also an active member of the orthopedic community.
Dr Ng Yung Chuan Sean is involved in not only treating typical foot and ankle problems, but also conducting less invasive surgical procedures. The objectives of percutaneous surgery are to have as good of an outcome as open surgery, with minimal scarring, and to be as simple to the patient as possible. Dr Ng is the only specialist providing the treatment now, and does so in the region.
Also, he is a professor in the department of foot and ankle surgery at the National University of Singapore, as well as the president of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Ng Yung Chuan Sean is actively interested in medical Qualification including undergraduate and postgraduate medical training. He is also a mentor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and works as a clinical academic advisor with the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. Dr Ng is highly regarded as a mentor, examiner, and trainer. He is an important faculty member in the Singhealth orthopaedic residency transitional year program.He has published his work in several peer reviewed journals, is an active member of the scientific community, and is a regular reviewer for the Malaysian Medical Journal.
